In Decemeber 2007, there were 11 Flagger Families, for a total of 26 children (and 2 were on the way)! We were able to get together as a group for 2 events during the holiday season: the Tumble with Santa at GymQuest and the Nowak brunch. Good times were had by all!
A 20- or 30-something person desperate for a night out without their kids. These creatures are easy to spot, toting coolers throughout the neighborhood and trying to relive a little of their past (you can also look for the party hour flag-that gives them away). They can be found on the first Friday of every month, ingesting high levels of alcohol and having a good time. During the summer months, these creatures seem to disappear, but it's only to take a break to be with their families. You may still find them together, congregating around bodies of water and/or fire pits on any given weekend. While they are on a break, their children are often present for the festivities (You'd think it would be easy to find sitters!). For a Flagger, the key to any of these events is to have fun and enjoy the company of the friends they've come to know and love (and no one thinks differently of you the next day-we've all been there one time or another!!)!
